Mock Widget

The Mock Widget is a development and testing tool that renders a layout template with custom JSON data. It is used by developers to preview layout designs before building a full widget.

Common Tasks

Adding the Widget to a Page

1. Navigate to the page in the Contensive page editor.
2. Click the widget tool to open the widget panel.
3. Find the Mock Widget in the Design Blocks category.
4. Drag the widget onto the page at the desired location.

Editing Widget Content

1. Click the edit icon on the Mock Widget.
2. Select a Layout template to render.
3. Enter JSON data in the Mock JSON field. This data is passed to the selected layout template for rendering.

Removing the Widget

• Click the edit icon on the widget and open the advanced editor.
• Delete the record to remove it permanently.
