The Image Slider enables you to put a slideshow on a web page. After you drop the add-on IMAGE SLIDER2 on your webpage, with images, you will see something like the following screen, where the pictures and captions rotate:
To add images shown in the slide show, login click EDIT and then click the PLUS sign that appears below the current image. You will then see the following screen:
Here you will enter the image record name and click BROWSE to upload the image. To upload an image, click on CHOOSE FILE to search your computer; click on the file you want and then click OPEN. You will see the file name displayed in the image record. The image size should be 675 x 300.
In the CAPTION field enter the large text, which says "DELIVERY CHANGE" in the screenshot at the top of the page.
In the DESCRIPTION field enter the smaller text, which says "Changing the delivery route of antibiotics could mitigate resistance." in the screenshot at the top of the page.
In the LINK field, you will enter the URL of a web page that you want the picture to link to. If you don't want to include a link, leave the field blank.
When you add the new image, the IMAGE SLIDER INSTANCE ID field is automatically filled in with the identifying information for the location of the image slider. Click OK to save your new image.
Modifying and Deleting Images
To change the images shown in the slide show, login, click EDIT and then click on the paper/pencil icon on the image you want to change. This opens the edit record for the image, where you can modify the image name, set it to active or inactive, upload a new image, change the caption or text beneath the caption or modify the URL of the page that the picture links to when a user clicks on it. Make sure ACTIVE is checked if you want the image to show in the slideshow, or if you don't want to use it anymore, click on the check mark to remove it. Click OK to save changes.
