From the Members page as described above, you can click on the Add button to add a new member record. The database can store and manage a great deal of information about each of your members.
When you go to the Add an entry to MEMBERS page you will see that you are operating in the Admin Site, with the three main admin navigation buttons at the top. Below this navigation bar there are three buttons: Cancel, Save and OK
Cancel – Takes you back to the list of member names
Save – Stores the information that you entered and leaves the member record window open
OK – Saves the information that you entered and closes the member record window
Below these buttons is a large area for Content Fields. Here you will enter the name and contact information for the member you are adding. Click on the box marked Active if you want this member information to be included with your active list. You can unclick the active box and this will remove all references to the member on the site and deactivate their username and password. You do this when you want to deactivate a member but not lose their information.
Below contact information you will see:
ImageFilename – Depending on how your information is presented on the site, you may include photographs/images with the member record details page

ThumbnailFilename – This is a thumbnail/smaller version of the image on the member record details page. It is usually used when presenting several members’ photos, so that the page does not take too long to load.

These member images can be uploaded into the database in the same way that you would upload any image to your site. For instructions, please see the section of the manual on Editing Content – Image Upload.
Resume: you can add a members resume to the database, the member’s resume can be formatted with the standard editing tools.

Organization drop-down list, access the Admin Site from the Tools Panel, and then under Administration, go to Organization. You can add as many organization names as you wish, using the Add button.

There are also many fields in which to enter information about the member, including Billing and Shipping details. These typically are filled in automatically be the Contensive System when eCommerce has been implemented. If you do not have eCommerce you can hand enter these fields if you desire to keep this information.
Immediately below the field for Shipping Phone Number is the area in which you can determine the amount of website functionality to assign to this particular member. Here you can create the member’s Username and Password. Next are a series of boxes, which you may elect to check if you wish this member to have access to these particular functionalities. The options are:
Allow Group Email – will include this member in the list of recipients for Group Email campaigns, which are created by the Administrator.

Administrator – designates this member as an additional Administrator, with all the associated website control

Special Pricing – allows this member to receive price discounts during e-commerce campaigns

Email Notes – allows users to send notes to individuals or groups via the web. It functions just like an email message, except it will sit on the website instead of in the recipient’s mailbox. When the intended recipient(s) log in to the website, the Contensive system will recognize them and display the Email Note for them.

Allow Auto Login – allows the system to recognize this member whenever they come to the site, and automatically log them in, without the member having to type his username and password each time

Below these functionality boxes you will see an area that tracks the members visits – this area will populate after the member starts accessing the website.
Language- Next you’ll see an option for Language, if your site is available in more than one language you can choose the default language for this member.
