Designer FAQDoes it work on a Mac?Of course you can use Contensive with a MAC, using Safari and Firefox. Or you can use it on a PC using IE7+, Firefox, or Chrome. How do I get started?Getting started is easy; click on the free trial button and fill out the "Getting Started" form. Your free trial site will be ready within 10 minutes. We will send you an email with log in credentials and links to "How To" videos. If you want to add your own design to the site, send an email to support@contensive.com, and we will provide you with instructions on how to add your design to the trial site. If you don't want to code the site yourself, then send us your image files for design and we can take care of it for you. Can I have Javascript in my designs?Yes, you can add Javascript, PHP, Ruby on Rails or whatever coding language you are comfortable with. You can use these to create add-ons to build out functionality. We have lots of examples and developer support staff that can help you along the way. Can my site have fly-out menusFly-out menus are easy to add, and easy to extend vertical and horizontal menus are included in the standard system. They are easy to modify using the CSS. Why should I use Contensive instead of some other free system?Simple. It's Fast. It's Easy. It's Powerful. It's Fast- You can get a site up and going without a huge learning curve; add-on functionality is simply dropped on the page, text box or template. You don't have to set up a server or database or be an expert in code. It's Easy- Once your site is up and your client takes over, you don't want to spend your time answering questions. Does it support HTML and CSS Standards?Yes, of course, and we are working with WC3 to make sure as standards come online we are supporting them. Can it handle large traffic sitesContensive is designed to handle large traffic loads; just make sure the hosting plan you have chosen allows for large traffic volumes. If I decide to keep my free trial site, what is the cost?You only pay for what you need. We have multiple levels for hosting, support and add-ons. We have hosting plans that start at $19/month, and for high traffic sites, we offer additional pricing levels. We have hundreds of FREE standard add-ons that provide functionality for managing photo galleries, blogs, RSS feeds, forums, surveys, shopping carts, email marketing and tracking, social media integration and much more.
